We chose the villages of the Montemuro mountain to reveal the secrets of entrepreneurial, creative, and innovative people who struggle to counter the trends of desertification by developing economically sustainable business ideas in the mountains.

Throughout this visit you will have the opportunity to know the work that has been developed by a company producing teas, infusions and condiments in biological way; a cooperative of women artisans; a renowned traveling theater company; and an entrepreneur of accommodation, in the modality of rural tourism. The “Confraria do Bolo Podre e Gastronomia do Montemuro” (Brotherhood of Rotten Cake and Gastronomy of Montemuro), will reveal some secrets of the local gastronomy.
